Job responsibilities:

  • Develop and plan a coherent and effective country sales strategy for China market for targeted customer Ecosystem segments including Networks/Carriers, Financial, Cloud/IT, Content Digital Media and Enterprise customers, so as to ensure competitive advantage in the market. This includes:
  • Maintaining global/regional carrier relationships and developing business in new markets to promote Platform selling
  • Manage the sales team to achieve new monthly recurring revenue goals, so as to meet quarterly and annual sales quotas, revenue and EBITDA targets; develop, coach and train sales team to achieve professional selling competence
  • Coach and motivate sales team to ensure high performance levels, so as to deliver desired sales results
  • Oversee China Sales team in new customer acquisition, managing major existing accounts (and corresponding executive relationships) and addressing customer issues so as to achieve high levels of customer satisfaction
  • Assist in planning and financial modeling for executive management team approval of capital expenditure, for expansion of data center space in China
  • Plan, submit and manage assigned annual sales & marketing budget/cost
  • Liaises with global and regional sales teams to coordinate global/regional customer projects and opportunities
  • Works with regional and local functional heads-of-department on inter-departmental issues (Operations, Marketing, Product, Finance etc)
  • Report and manage weekly/monthly/quarterly sales pipeline and sales management report to ensure accurate sales forecast, including SFDC   

 

Job requirements:

  • University Degree required
  • 10+ years experience in sales, with at least 5 years in a sales-management role
  • Strong background in telecommunications/Internet/IT industry, exposure on a regional basis is an advantage
  • Experience in a MNC sales organization
  • Experience working in a cross-sector/global matrix-reporting sales environment, as well as with global sales teams
  • Ability to manage complex customer relationships and large deal opportunities 
  • Should possess or be able to develop a good understanding of the data centre business from a commercial and technical perspective
  • Must possess C-level professional selling & solution selling skills and detailed understanding of customer buying objectives to manage sales cycle
  • Strong motivational skills and the ability to manage different personality types in a dynamic sales team environment
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong project management and problem-solving skills
  • Must be able to maintain relationship at all levels of customer organization, from executive team members to functional line managers
  • Enjoy learning and be able to work under stress
  • Fluent in Mandarin and English (any additional languages would be an advantage)
