Supply Chain Manager– Automotive

Background:

  • An European company, producing products both in automotive and machinery industries

 

Job responsibilities:

  • To lead a team of supply chain and create an environment for individual development, empowerment and a high team-spirit
  • To ensure stable and efficient processes at supply chain for order handling, order book management, quotation handling, cash collection and post sales activities, in line with local organization and delegation rules, monitoring the process performance and securing corrective actions if necessary
  • To ensure the Customer Service team delivers a professional internal sales support
  • To actively together with the Customer Service team support the sales team in reaching BU targets
  • To secure excellent relations with key customers at operational and decision making levels, within the sales team as well as with key suppliers at supply chain, logistics, IT etc.
  • To lead local supply chain improvements and lead/ sponsor customer supply chain projects to increase customer satisfaction and to raise exit barriers
  • To optimize available resources (headcount & budget) seeking for an excellent customer service
  • To secure stable and performing system operations provided by IT/ demand chain
  • To drive deployment of relevant procedures, policies and local legislation maintaining a high focus on continuous improvement
  • To actively drive the Customer Service team to continuously update and keep updated on customer & contact information in present CRM System
  • To maintain a good knowledge of the complete portfolio products and supply chain processes
  • To lead the VP shanghai team to guaranty order handling efficiency, supplier management, optimize the stock structure and satisfy local sales and global ordering requirement
  • To guaranty the main KPI of VP shanghai to satisfy the company requirement, delivery, shipments, stock and backlog
  • To handle own customer portfolio with key responsibilities defined for Senior Customer Service Representatives (if applicable)
  • To develop and implement e-business with customers
  • To be responsible for staff hiring, training and development, including performance reviews and IDPs for all direct reports
  • To run their operations according to the Code of Conduct, Environment Health & Safety (EHS) and Quality Policies, and work according to the Quality Management System. If the operation is EHS certified, work according to the EHS Management System

 

Requirements:

  • More than 8 years supply chain experience in a multinational company, preferably in sales environment
  • Familiar with import and export practices especially in China and HK, and with knowledge in business and commercial field
  • Familiar with vehicle parts packaging service management and stock planning for import and export business
  • Familiar with customer service and VP supply chain system handling
  • Good team leadership and excellent communication skills both in English and Mandarin
  • Good MS Office computer skill (e.g. Excel, Word, and PPT)
