CONTRACT EXECUTIVES
As part of its Flexible Human Resourcing offering Lloyd Morgan has been supplying contract executives across the Asia Pacific region for more than 15 years.
Similar to interim management, executives are brought in to undertake short term projects, supplement existing resources or stand in for permanent executives who due to illness or other circumstances are unable to perform their duties for a given period.
Contract executives may be provided under either independent contractor contracts or as secondees under permanent contracts, depending on the requirements of the client, the executive and the regulatory environment.
Contract executives are typically used to undertake line manager type duties within the existing management structure or project management responsibilities reporting into and under the day to day supervision of a line manager.
The appointment of contract executives reduces the need to increase permanent headcount, so the traditional ‘hire in an upturn, fire in a downturn’ management style with all its resultant costs can be substantially avoided. Resources are brought on for a specific requirement only, with no need to carry them through any period in which they may not be fully utilised.
